We’re in full-on fall mode, from the boots on our feet to the pumpkin lattes in our hands. What’s an autumn lover to do next? Start with these three simple suggestions.
GET COZY
It’s officially sweater weather and we are pumped! After all, there’s nothing more sartorially comforting than pulling on a thick, soft knit. And a big ol’ chunky sweater can be a powerful catalyst for great fall activities — sipping cider, going on a hike or simply cuddling on the couch.
TAKE YOUR PICK
Orchards are smorgasbords of fall fun. You can scout for the perfect pumpkin, pick apples, greet goats, climb hay bales, go on wagon rides or find your way out of a corn maze. These family-run farms are big on charm and perfect for kids of any age — and chances are, there’s at least one not far from where you live.
FOLLOW THE COLORS
It may sound like something only older folks do out east, but leaf-peeping is seriously family-friendly. Pack some snacks, pile in the car, crank up the tunes and set your GPS for where the fall colors are popping. (Travel Wisconsin’s Fall Color Report is a fantastic guide.) It all makes for a pretty — and pretty easy — little road trip.
