“Basically, if it’s not completely easy, it’s not happening right now.”
I can’t remember specifically what I was talking about when I said that to my mom the other day, but it could apply to pretty much any choice I’ve been facing lately. I’m sure you can relate.
We’re tired. We’re maxed out. We’re overwhelmed. And yet we still have to show up to our lives. And of course we still want to. And of course there is so much good in them.
The key right now, I think, is to keep things absolutely as simple as possible. Look for ease, for lightness, and say yes to those things. And then say no to as much else as you possibly can!
At least for right now. Let this be a season of less, of slowness, of caring for ourselves and our families.
Let’s get cozy. Let’s hunker down. Let’s let things slide. Let’s let things go. Let’s not feel bad and let’s not look back.
And then later when, or if, we feel rested and regenerated, we can build back up. We can add in more.
But not right now. Now, let’s take it easy.
